Where Our Water Comes From
- Our water is sourced from a spring fed lake, Lough Accury. This lake has over 30 springs, with no other inflow
- As the water leaves the lake it passes through screens to filter large items
- As it enters the treatment plant it passes through spin-klin(tm) unit to further filter the water
- The water is then passed through Carbon and sand filter as well as an ozone system
- Lastly Chlorine is added before the water is sent to the reservoir for storage and distribution for use
- The reservoir can hold 300,000 gallons of water
- The plant can produce 75 Cubic meters of drinking water an hour
