Where Our Water Comes From

  • Our water is sourced from a spring fed lake, Lough Accury. This lake has over 30 springs, with no other inflow
  • As the water leaves the lake it passes through screens to filter large items
  • As it enters the treatment plant it passes through spin-klin(tm) unit to further filter the water
  • The water is then passed through Carbon and sand filter as well as an ozone system
  • Lastly Chlorine is added before the water is sent to the reservoir for storage and distribution for use
  • The reservoir can hold 300,000 gallons of water
  • The plant can produce 50 Cubic meters of drinking water an hour
